Wisdom's Importance

"Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom

and with all thy getting get understanding."

~ Proverbs 4;7

Don't be either of these two definitions: •) - Foolish: Void of understand or sound judgment; weak intellect, unwise

•) - Stupid: Very dull; senseless; to refuse to learn

Consider these words of Oswald Chambers who said, "The record of the whirl of things as they are, is marvelously stated in the Books of Wisdom, Job: How to suffer; Psalms: How to pray; Proverbs: How to act; Ecclesiastes: How to enjoy; and lastly, Song of Solomon: How to love.

Wisdom is the ability to apply one's accumulated knowledge and understanding in a way that is spiritually and practically productive. Some people have a great education and don't know how to use it. Wisdom, knowledge and understand are a great trio, but of the three, wisdom is the most powerful and most needed. Godly wisdom comes from God and is able to help you sift through all that you know and understand, and then apply it properly to your life. Wisdom is far more than common sense. Let's not be foolish anymore. Seek wisdom!
