"Brethren, I count myself to have apprehended; but this one thing I do, forgetting those thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those thins which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus."

~Philippians 3:13-14

Some people live their life like flipping a coin, in hopes it land on the side that is a win for them. Life is not gambling or a guessing game as some think it is. As Christians, we are to live a life of commitment to Biblical goals. I came across some of those goals in a list by Dr. Guy Goodell, Pastor in Hudson Falls, NY. "First, we need to set goals that will advance our personal relationship with Christ. Second, we need to set goals that will advance our personal growth. Third, we need to set goals that will promote righteousness. Fourth, we need to set goals that will help pursue holiness in conduct. Sixth, we need to set goals that win Christ's personal approval., Seventh, we need to set goals that will indicate our willingness to handle responsibility."

"There is a tendency to look at accomplishments rather than character. We ought to put integrity ahead of events. Some godly goals are: 1.) Be a husband worth respecting. 2.) Be a father/ mother worth imitating. 3.) Be a wife worth honoring. 4.) Be a leader worth following. 5.) Be a teacher worth hearing. 6.) Be a servant worth trusting." How are your goals?
