"Come See A Man, Which Told Me"

"Come see a man, which told me all things that ever I did:
is not this the Christ?"
~ John 4:29
These are the words of a woman who met Jesus at Jacob's Well. We find that she had been married five times and was living unmarried with a man. It does not sound like she was in any way a lady. No doubt her lifestyle had all kinds of problems and heartaches. But on this day, Jesus would turn her life around. She came to the well for physical water, but returned to town with everlasting water. The first thing she did was leave her water pots and return to tell those in town about the One Who told her "all things that ever I did." Because of her testimony, others would come to believe on the Lord Jesus. (John 4:39)
This woman, before she did anything else, wanted others to know what Jesus had done for her. Because of her changed life, the people of the city knew something had happened to her. It would be the greatest day of her life. We can see her returning to where she lived and telling the man she shacked up with that it was over for them. She tells her children, possibly from five different husbands, what Jesus had done for her.
May we who are saved, live each day to tell others the words of that woman, "Come see a man, which told me all things!"
