"Stop: Take Time to Smell the Roses!"

"It is of the Lord's mercies that we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not.

They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.

~ Lamentations 3:22-23

In this hurry-up, fast pace day, we can find ourselves missing or bypassing so many wonderful things. In our victories and even in our failures, we could see much that would make our day somewhat better if we would but stop and look. Consider Israel in their 40 years of wandering. There was manna each morning, flowing water each day for all the people and the animals, quail for their meat, cloud cover from the sun, a pillar of fire for warmth at night; yet, they still complained about things. This world is a wilderness. We, who are saved, are headed to a promised land, Heaven. It is a place for which we are to live and anticipate. It is a place that far exceeds our grandest dreams. The Bible does say, however, "This is the day which the Lord hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it." Psalms 118:24

Someone said, "It is good to plan and think and to think!" Take time. See that the Lord is good. Let us not take for granted the blessings we enjoy each day that come from our great God!
