"For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body - -
But, now are there many members yet but one body.." ~ I Cor. 12:13 & 20
The above verses speak of the unity in the body of Christ, which is the local church. The camp meeting was a blessed success because the Holy Spirit worked in the hearts and lives of the members here at Welch Creek. For 29 years, we have been a vessel used of God to help and to encourage those who have attended. It's a wonderful testimony of the grace of God that has enabled us to be a little oasis in this dry and weary world we live in. The Bible speaks of God's people "having a mind to work," Nehemiah 4:6. Much work goes into the camp meeting - - not only physical work but spiritual work also. Both of these are necessary when it comes to seeing God bless any event. Your prayers and your labor of love have once again come together to see God be glorified. That is what we should live for all the time. We should so live that all that we do every day should glorify our Great God, and be used for the good of those around us. When this happens, the joy and peace of God fills the soul. This joy, and peace are the rewards for doing the will of God.
As your pastor, I want to once again say "thank you" to the whole church family for honoring the Lord Jesus Christ with a passion most churches don't have. You have made me proud; but, even greater, I believe you have once again shown that you love our Saviour.
