"The Law of the Harvest"

"Be not deceived; God is not mocked; for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap." ~ Galatians 6:7
The Law of the Harvest catches many people off guard. Paul told the Galatians that sowing and reaping also applied to the spiritual world. Jesus told His disciples that the seed falls on many types of ground: wayside, rocky, thorny, & good ground. The Law of the Harvest says;
You reap what you sow;
You reap more than you sow.
You reap later than you sow.
Perhaps the most deceptive is "later than you sow." To the person who continues in sin, he or she thinks they are getting by because they haven't seen negative consequences yet. God's "gristmill" may run slow, but it grinds, and the meal is always finely ground. Some people mistake God's mercy as His approval of sin.
To the person serving God faithfully, he or she thinks their work is unsuccessful, because they have not seen positive results yet.
Both parties are deceived! Concerning sin, we need to deal with it quickly! God's judgment is coming. Concerning faithful service, we need to remain faithful, because our labor is "not in vain."
