"The Anchor of Your Soul"

"Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and steadfast, and which entereth into that within the veil."

Hebrews 6:19

This text is a wonderful haven of the soul. Salvation is a wonderful gift from God. Amazingly, it is not the mere rescue from death and hell, but a reconciliation of fellowship. Salvation is about us fellow-shipping with God. Man was created, not to worship God, but to fellowship with Him. Salvation is the means by which one is restored to divine friendship, and there are better things that accompany salvation.

Your life or work on earth might seem in vain. You might grow weary of daily duties, restricted situations, church commitments, and monetary stewardship, but God does not forget your labor of love. Be diligent in the full assurance of hope unto the end. Keep on keeping on with the faith that will be worth it all. Don't be lazy. Patience will allow you to inherit the promises God has given.

God has sworn an oath and cannot lie. He has promised to eternally reward you for your earthly labor. You will not receive the full benefit from god until you reach Heaven. That is your hope to which your soul is anchored. Jesus has gone before us and now serves as our High Priest in Heaven. He is your loving Patron to protect you through the voyage of life's service. When the storms of doubt blow upon you, rest assured; He is the Anchor that holds!
