"Staying Young"

"Those that be planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of our God.

They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be fat and flourishing."

~Psalm 92:13-14

Some people are old before their fortieth birthday; others reach 90 and still seem young. What is the difference? Attitude! The body will age, but we get old only if we choose to do so. God desires that believers live each day fully so that He can use them. First, we need to keep learning. Some people are satisfied with their present level of knowledge because learning something new would tax their brains. Discovering fresh concepts guarantees we can continue being productive in the world. When we get God's perspective, anxiety and fear diminish so that our body and mind can function at top levels. As you are learning, you are growing. When you quit learning, you will quit growing; and to quit growing means you are dying faster.

Greatness is seen in the Christian who lives to keep learning. Someone once said, "An idle mind is the devil's workshop." There is some great truth to that statement. Keep your thoughts on the things that honor GOD. It will be good for others and yourself.
