"Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord." 1 Corinthians 15:58

Watchman Nee was arrested for his faith in Christ in 1952, and spent the rest of his life in prison. He died in his prison cell on Many 30, 1972. He had been given several opportunities to denounce his faith in Christ and be granted freedom, but he continued to tell his captors that he would never do such toward the One who had died for him. When his niece was allowed to collect his possessions, she was given a scrap of paper that a guard had found by his bed. On it was written these words, "Christ is the Son of God who died for the redemption of sinners and was resurrected after three days. This is the greatest truth in the universe. I die because of my belief in Christ--Watchman Nee."

How do you think you would respond if called upon to put your life on the line for the cause of Christ? The answer is simple. If you will not live for Christ day by day, you would never die for Him. Even today, there are scores of Christians imprisoned and dying for their Christian faith. We are called upon to be a living testament for Christ. May we so live to live and tell all others of His saving grace! August 3, 2014
