"The Power of the Resurrection"

"That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings,
being made conformable unto his death; If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead."  ~ Philippians 3:10-11

For three days and three nights, those who inhabited Paradise waited for the One whom they had put their faith in. Could it be that the believing thief on the cross told them what had happened to him at Calvary? What joy they experienced when Jesus arrived and showed himself to them! Even greater would be their Resurrection with Him. Ephesians 4:8-10, tells us that Jesus descended unto the lower parts of the earth; and that he "Led the captivity of captives on high." Their faith became sight at that time.
One day, too, we will see Him and our faith will become sight. Because of our faith in the death, burial and resurrection, we are eternally saved from the wrath of God. As born again believers, we must day by day learn to trust in that practical power of the resurrection. A life that has been truly touched by the saving power of Jesus is to be a life that is noticeably transformed from what it once was. Does your life tell others what the Resurrection's power has done for you? May God's Grace enable each of us to live day by day with the reality that Christ could soon come; or, that death could come our way. Whichever, let's be watching and working for His cause.
