"The Just Man"

"For a JUST man falleth seven times,
and riseth up again:
but the wicked shall fall into mischief."
 - Proverbs 24:16

Understand this, it is not standing uprightly that qualifies a person as "just," but getting up from a fall. It is not honor that makes a man shine brightly, but humility. Nothing else speaks more of the power of Christ as mightily as a person who humbles himself, takes full responsibility for their own transgression, apologizes, and makes amends.
A person without Christ may abstain from the passions of their flesh by mere determination or even disposition. It requires a supernatural strength to enable someone to humble himself and make apologies for their wrong doings, thereby testifying of His Saviour, Who humbled Himself of no reputation. May it also be noted that falling forward still gives a person several feet of progress! We have no confidence in the flesh, and just the moment we do, an obstacle will fall upon us to remind us of our total dependence and reliance on the Arm of Grace.
If you've fallen lately, get up and dust yourself off, and go on for Christ. Doing so makes you qualified as a Just Man. "He that shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the Lord requrie of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God." Micah 6:8
