Monday's Report:   The start of our 25th Camp Meeting. The 1st service started at 3PM. By the time we broke for supper at 5:30 PM, the tabernacle was almost full. We were blessed to hear three powerful messages in the afternoon, Brother Joey Curado from Sally, SC, Brother Derick Farmer from Goose Creek, SC and Brother Ron Hoy from the West VA. We broke for supper at 5:45PM and had delicious meal that had been prepared by our ladies and men. Over 500 people filled the dining hall and surrounding breezeways as we fellowshipped together. Following supper, we made our way back to the tabernacle for the night service. Extra chairs had to be put out to seat the crowd. Over 600 filled the building. For the past 16 years, we have honored Dr. Verdie Edwards by receiving the Monday night offering to give toward scholarships for student preachers at Tabernacle Bible College in Greenville, SC. The offering this year was just under $4000.00. Brother Any Wells from Monroe NC was our night preacher. What a blessing it was to hear him preach from Proverbs 31. Spaced in between all the preaching, was some wonderful uplifting singing by a host of singers who always attend. - Brother Baker

Camp Meeting Report from Tuesday 4/15/14

Yesterday was the 2nd day of our spring camp meeting. What a great day it was. The morning service started at 9:30AM. Over 300 gathered in the tabernacle to hear some mighty fine preaching and some Heaven sent singing. Pastor John Kinsey kicked off the meeting with a great message on how God has a purpose for every Christian. Evangelist Jimmy Allen then brought a message on the Reality of Knowing You are Saved. Pastor Bo Wagner closed out the morning service as his message painted the Wonders of Heaven vs. the Awfulness of Hell. Before we dismissed for lunch at the church dining hall, each preacher and his wife were given a nice gift package from our church family.
We met back at the dining hall for supper at 5:30PM and then at 7:30 PM we had the night service. Once again the tabernacle was full with about 600 in attendance, Oh My! The singing was out of this world. We also received an offering to help purchase a youth camp down in Mexico for one of our missionary workers. He will be receiving a check for $10,000 from us in a few days. This offering will come close to finishing off what was needed to buy the camp. If you would like to help toward this great need, just send your offering to Welch Creek Baptist Church stating you want to help buy the youth camp in Mexico.
Our night preacher was Pastor James Jones from Tenn. This dear preacher gave us a message that had us all rejoicing over what we have in our wonderful Lord Jesus.
The rain that fell on the ground outside did not compare to the heavenly rain that fell on our hearts on the inside.

Wednesday we concluded our camp meeting. We have had over 70 preachers with us along with many of their church members. We had a GREAT time.. The fellowship with each other, the singing and of course the preaching was exactly what all of us needed. It was a great way to end our meeting. His Presence was felt in each message & song. The morning service started off with Brother Paul Sisk preaching for us. Then Alfred Willis followed by Brother Ed McAbee! Each message was Heaven sent. The evening service was just as good if not better with the great singing and the message by Brother Doug Rammage. We hated to see the meeting come to a close, and we are already looking forward to next year!
